He traded newspapers, glass bottles as well as scrap metals, to recyclers. Arnel also worked odd jobs like cleaning scrap metal and docked ships. Arnel is married to Cherry Pineda. The couple tied the knot in 2001. Together, they have been blessed with two kids: a daughter (Thea Chenelle Pineda) and one son (Cherub). Arnel also has Matthew and Angelo who are his older sons.
